Where Can I Book My Tickets For Big Bug Expo?
Tickets are distributed through Big Bug Expo ticketing, limited tickets will be sold at the door on event however these are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Big Bug Expo ticketing is the only official retailer of Big Bug Expo admission tickets. Visitor are warned not to buy tickets from unknown sources as we will not guarantee them.
Do I Have To Book Tickets In Advance
Big Bug Expo is very popular world wide, most of its events have been sold out, we advise our customers to purchase tickets in advance in order to avoid disappointments on the day. Because of venue Capacity we are forced to have limited numbers of visitors for each event day. If you do not have tickets until the event day you are not guaranteed access as we will have very limited quantities of tickets at the door.
Can I Use My Ticket on Any Date and Time Slot?
No! Your ticket is only valid for the dates and times on the tickets.
Where Do I Park My Vehicle?
Yes, there is ample parking at the venue, unless communicated for specific venues.
Is The Event Indoor Or Outdoor?
Some of the venues like Stellenbosch and Rondebosch are both outdoor, George train Museum is indoor. Please come prepared for any weather conditions.
What Means Of Payment Cash And Card Payment Is Accepted?
Credit, debit cards and cash, are all accepted for ticket sales and purchases at out toy stall.
Are There Food Stalls?
Yes, there will be food stalls, and please note that picnic baskets are not allowed. We do allow camp chair and blankets.
Can I Bring My Pet?
Pets are not allowed.
How Long Does It Take To Have A Full Experience Of The Event?
Approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour to walk through the exhibition excluding all the activities.
Is The Venue Wheelchair Friendly?
At least 90 to 100 percent of the venues are wheelchair accessible.
Am I Allowed To Take Photographes At The Event ?
Big Bug Expo event organizers allows photographers to make photos or videos for personal use on social media etc.
Am I Allowed To Touch Bugs On Display?
As a way of preserving our exhibits we do not allow visitors to cross the barriers and touch or climb the exhibits as they are highly fragile and can deteriorate very quickly. Our mandate is to bring the experience to every child and family in South Africa so that they can learn and get the message of conservation of our planet.
